Doprovázíme vás na cestě ke sportovní střelbě s vlastní zbraní

Many prospective members assume the path to owning a sporting firearm is opaque. In practice, with clear structure and calm explanation, it is manageable.

As a member you can work through the necessary steps within the club concept — from training and documentation via the competency course through to advice on firearm, ammunition and equipment.

Our experienced instructors and contacts explain the process calmly and support you personally. The decision on a firearms permit rests exclusively with the competent authority.

Žádost na úřad; po schválení poradenství a nákup zbraně, munice a vybavení.

Pravidelný trénink: často jednou měsíčně nebo 18 lekcí ročně

For sporting need and association documentation, regularly documented training is decisive in practice.

Many recognised associations and authority guidelines require, in the last 12 months, either roughly one shooting session per month or — if sessions are unevenly spaced — a total of at least about 18 training sessions.

In addition, longer active membership (often at least 12 months) is frequently required before a first application makes sense. Exact requirements depend on the association, sporting rules and the competent firearms authority.

  • Training sessions are documented in a traceable way
  • Consistency matters more than “as many firearms as possible”
  • We organise training opportunities and support documentation
  • Digital scheduling helps keep processes clear

Odborná způsobilost — lze koordinovat s námi

The firearms competency course usually includes theory and practice plus an examination. It is a central building block for a later firearms ownership card application.

Through the club and our cooperation with PAA Shooting Academy, competency courses under applicable legal requirements can be coordinated — explained calmly and clearly separated from the club offering where required.

Trezor / skříň na zbraně: stupeň 0 nebo 1

Permit-required firearms and ammunition must be stored securely. For new purchases, certified cabinets to DIN/EN 1143-1 with at least resistance grade 0 are common in practice.

Grade 0 is suitable for many first setups — with limits on the number of handguns depending on cabinet weight. Grade 1 offers more capacity, for example with a larger handgun inventory.

Which safe makes sense for you depends on firearm type, quantity and your authority’s requirements. We advise you during membership — without sales pressure.

  • At least resistance grade 0 to DIN/EN 1143-1 for typical new cabinets
  • Grade 1 when you need more capacity or more handguns
  • Store ammunition and unloaded firearms only as required by law
  • Proof of storage is part of the authority application process

FAQ

Často kladené otázky o zbrojním průkazu

How do I become a sport shooter with my own firearms ownership card?

Typically you need club membership, regularly documented training over a longer period, a competency course, proof of secure storage, plus reliability and personal suitability. You then apply to the competent firearms authority. We explain the process transparently and support you organisationally.

Do I need to shoot 12 or 18 times a year?

In practice, many associations require for proof of regular practice in the last 12 months either about one session per month or a total of at least about 18 sessions if you did not shoot monthly. Exact rules depend on the association and authority.

Can I complete the competency course via the club?

Yes. Competency courses under applicable legal requirements can be coordinated through the club and our cooperation with PAA Shooting Academy.

Which safe do I need — grade 0 or 1?

For new cabinets, certified units to DIN/EN 1143-1 with at least resistance grade 0 are common. Grade 1 offers more capacity, especially with more handguns. What fits you depends on inventory and authority requirements — we advise you.

Can I buy a firearm, ammunition and equipment through the club path?

After a permit is granted, we support you in selecting and purchasing suitable sporting firearms, ammunition and equipment. The purchase itself follows lawful authorised channels; we guide and advise.

Does the club guarantee a firearms ownership card?

No. Permits are issued exclusively by the competent authority. We support with training, documentation, coordination and transparent explanation — without guaranteeing a permit or acquisition.

How long does the path to owning a firearm take?

Often several months of active membership and documented training are needed before a first application makes sense — frequently around 12 months, plus competency, storage and authority processing. We discuss the concrete timeline personally.

Is this path suitable if I am a newcomer?

Yes. An introduction is possible without prior experience. We guide you into training, documentation and the next steps with structure and calm explanation.
